CameraConnect DC, the Metropolitan Police Department’s new community camera sharing program, gives residents, business owners, institutions and others an additional way to help police solve crime in their neighborhood.

DC Police Alert enables the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to notify you quickly about crimes in your neighborhood that may affect you, your home or your business.

MPD is the agency responsible for registering firearms in the District of Columbia.

The Metropolitan Police Department closes more than 99 percent of its missing persons cases, with the majority of the cases being closed in a short amount of time.

These programs are designed to encourage individuals to step forward and provide information.

As of Monday, October 16, 2023, the following function has permanently moved to the address listed below. All existing appointments will be honored at this location.

The Sex Offender Registration Act of 1999 established a sex offender registration program for the District of Columbia and authorizes the Metropolitan Police Department to release sex offender information to the public.
