At approximately 1:39 pm on Sunday, May 20, 2007, police were called to the 600 block of 32nd Street, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located 36-year-old Delonte Evans, of no fixed address, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene by a member of the DC Medical Examiner’s Office.
The case is under investigation by members of the Department’s Violent Crimes Branch.
