On Sunday, March 23, 2008, Larry Barnes, aka “Boogie,” was assaulted in the rear of the 4300 Block of Halley Terrace, SE. Following this assault, Mr. Barnes was transported to the hospital, had a heart attack, and died. The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death a murder, saying that the assault caused the heart attack. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
