Descripton
At approximately 12 noon on Sunday, July 4, 2004, police were called to the 400 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located 47-year-old Larry Baskin, of the 100 block of U Street, NE, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit and pronounced dead at 12:33 pm. The case is under investigation by members of the Department’s Violent Crimes Branch.
