MPD Arrests Northeast Stabbing Suspect

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect in a stabbing that occurred in Northeast.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at approximately 7:06 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to the 1600 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast, for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male, conscious and breathing, suffering from a stab wound. DC Fire and EMS responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the detectives’ investigation, a 13-year-old male of Northeast, D.C., was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
